Terms of Service

Last updated July 13, 2026 · contact legal@dekator.com

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Dekator. By creating an account or running an audit, you agree to them. If you are using Dekator on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. The service

Dekator audits how generative AI answer surfaces treat a web page: it observes live answers for the commercial queries you provide, reasons over the evidence, and returns a verdict with recommended fixes. The visibility sub-score is measured; the remaining diagnostic index is modelled and labelled as such.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for the accuracy of the information you submit. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

Only submit pages you own or are otherwise authorized to audit. Our crawler honors robots.txt — a site that blocks it results in a failed run, not a workaround. Do not use Dekator to break the law, infringe rights, or overload third-party services.

5. Quotas and fair use

Each plan includes a monthly audit allowance. We may apply fair-use limits and rate limits to keep the service healthy. Automated scraping of Dekator itself, or resale of the service, is not permitted without written agreement.

6. Your content and our IP

You retain ownership of the inputs you submit and the reports generated for you. Dekator retains all rights in the platform, its methodology, models, and software. You grant us the limited rights needed to run your audits and operate the service.

7. Billing

Paid plans are sold through Paddle, our merchant of record, and bill in advance for the selected interval. Prices may include tax where applicable. Cancellation, renewals, and refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

8. Third-party surfaces

Dekator observes third-party search and AI answer surfaces that we do not control and that change over time. Results reflect what was observed at the time of the audit and are not a guarantee of future behavior by those surfaces.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is.” The modelled diagnostic index is an analytical estimate, not a guarantee that any change will produce a particular ranking or citation outcome. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the preceding twelve months.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or misuse of the service. You may stop using Dekator and cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by a reasonable means. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in your order or, absent one, the jurisdiction in which Dekator is established. (Placeholder — confirm with counsel.)
